Hello community,
We will be sporking the Flow Mainnet on 2021-08-18 08:00am PT going from Mainnet-11 to Mainnet-12. The Flow access nodes will be turned off during that time, services across Flow network might be intermittent for the length of the spork (usually few hours). Once the spork is complete, at around 11AM PT, we will send out another email and announce on Discord requesting you to start your node if you are a node operator.
A spork is a procedure where we upgrade the protocol software for the network. You can read more about it here.
Upcoming Changes:
Existing Node Operators
We will be carrying over your keys from the current spork, so no need to resubmit the keys.
ACTIONS needed from your side if you are an existing Node Operator on 2021-08-18:
- Proceed to Step 3 (Node Bootstrap | Flow Developer Portal) and start your node when you receive the email from us or see the announcement. As always, feel free to email us or message us on discord.
New Node Operators
If you will be running a node for the first time, please submit your keys by following Step 1 here by 2021-08-18 -2 (Monday). You can use the token Mainnet-12-<companyname> to push your keys.
(You can ignore Step 0 since you have no previous state to begin with :)).
Once the spork is complete on 2021-08-18, at around 11AM PST, we will send out another email and announce on discord requesting you to start your node.

Proceed to Step 3 here and start your node when you receive the email from us or see the announcement.
