Hi, my name is Max. I’m a self taught developer and haven’t had anything to do with dApp development until now. I’m excited about the possibilities and certainly about those dev docs here. However, I am concerned about the environmental impact. I did see Flow on a list of less energy intense blockchains but couldn’t find any more info. Could anyone give me a quick primer on this?

FLOW uses what’s called Proof of Stake. Proof of Stake is a very different mechanism of securing the chain than Proof of Work, which you refer to, and which is employed by Bitcoin, Ethereum (currently, they’r switching at some point) and a couple of others.
